I’m Calvin, a down-to-earth family man and fencing expert from Watford. Fencing isn’t just a job for me – it’s a family tradition. My grandad, who owned a fencing company in the 1970s, taught me everything I know. The skills and attitude he shared are lessons that have stayed with me all my life.
A legacy of expertise
I’ve been part of the fencing and gardening world since I was 21 years old.
These days, I’m proud to work alongside two of my four sons, keeping the family legacy alive. Starting ‘The Man That Can’ in 2016, after years of working for other people, was about more than just business. I wanted to build a better future for my family and pass on my knowledge to my children.

Dwain joined THE MAN THAT CAN in 2019 when he was 16 and fresh out of school. Since joining, Dwain has grown into a great worker and he’s not scared to get his hands dirty. He’s always the first to take on a challenge, especially if it means breaking things or is a strength test, and he is also more than capable of putting a fence up by himself.He’s a great asset to the team.

Calvin started THE MAN THAT CAN in 2016, wanting to give his family a better life and wanting to give his boys a living. Calvin has been doing fencing for 27 years, learning everything he knows from his Grandad and working hard every day to make him proud. Calvin is a perfectionist when it comes to his work and makes sure each and every job is done to a high standard and nothing less!

Tyrone joined THE MAN THAT CAN in 2018 when he was 17, as a young lad fresh out of football college. He has come a long way since joining us. When he first joined, he could only lift wooden posts and help out with putting fences up but now he can lift a 8ft concrete post without breaking a sweat and can be left to put fences up himself! He is learning each and every day and is a great asset to the team.

Yes, we do. Our quotes always include rubbish removal, whether it’s old fencing we’ve taken down or plants we’ve had to remove. Once the job is complete, your garden will be left clean and tidy. And because we have a UK government waste carrier’s licence, you can rest assured the rubbish is disposed of safely.
